The director of the technical supervision company was informed about the suspicion of causing damage during the repair of the roof of the sports complex. The extra person had to monitor the quality of construction work in one of the premises of the capital's medical university. Instead, the attacker signed acts of acceptance of the completed works, the scope of which did not actually correspond to the final result.
This became known from the report of the Kyiv police.
The investigation established that in April 2021, officials of the National Medical University and a contractor concluded a contract for repair work in one of the buildings.
The contractor had to carry out major repairs of the roof of the sports complex, and a separate company was engaged to carry out technical supervision of their work.
"The director of the controlling organization signed the acts of acceptance of the completed works, although their actual volume did not correspond to the final result, and the construction costs were significantly overestimated, causing to the state budget of more than 500 thousand hryvnias," the report says.
Police investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Shevchenkiv District Prosecutor's Office, informed the perpetrator of suspicion of improper performance of official duties by an official, as a result of which grave consequences were inflicted on the interests of the state - that is, in the commission of a criminal offense provided for in Part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code.
The sanction of the article provides for deprivation of liberty for a period of two to five years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with a fine of two hundred and fifty to seven hundred and fifty non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or without such.
