In Kyiv, a minor brutally beat a former military man

On Friday, June 21, in the evening in Kyiv, a minor brutally beat a former soldier of the 32nd separate mechanized brigade. The police detained the suspect, but later the victim's sister said that he was released.

The investigative team and the patrol police crew at the scene have previously established that a fight broke out between a man and a 17-year-old boy due to a sudden conflict. Two adult friends of the latter witnessed the fight.

The police took all the participants of the incident to the Darnytsia Police Department to clarify all the circumstances. The victim was referred for a forensic medical examination in order to determine the severity of the injuries received.

Information about the event was entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations on the fact of intentional minor bodily injury. This crime is punishable by a fine of 50 to 100 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens, or community service for a term of 150 to 240 hours, or correctional work for a term of up to one year, or probation supervision for a term of up to two years, or restriction of freedom for the same term. According to the police, the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
