The director of one of the non -governmental organizations operating in Kiev said the newspaper that the freezing of funding could be "catastrophic" for their NGO.
Meanwhile, according to FT, US diplomats in Europe have already sent a request for renewal of funding for Ukraine to withdraw it from 90 days of freezing to the State Department.
"At this point, we do not know whether this request will be approved - in whole or in part - but from Washington it is still received by encouraging signals," - said in an electronic message sent to the Ukrainian Branch of the Ukrainian Branch USAID.
USAID (US Agency for International Development) is one of the main sources of US financing in Ukraine, including defense support.
