In Kyiv, law enforcement officers completed the investigation into the case of a young man accused of embezzling funds from the scholarship account of a 17-year-old orphan. The perpetrator illegally gained access to the victim's bank card and appropriated 13,600 hryvnias, which he spent on celebrating his birthday.
A 20-year-old businessman who stole 13,600 hryvnias of a scholarship intended for an underage orphan through a banking application will be tried in Kyiv. The young man spent the money on celebrating his birthday. This is reported by the Kyiv police.
The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was friends with the offender and the day before, he accessed his personal account in the bank's mobile application from his phone.
Dilok, having access to Internet banking, transferred to his card the funds of an acquaintance, which he received as a scholarship from an educational institution and social welfare as an orphan. Later, the perpetrator celebrated his birthday with these funds.
The police informed the young man about the suspicion and sent the indictment to the court. He faces up to 8 years in prison.
