35 newborns recorded in Kyiv on the first day of 2025

On January 1, 2025, 35 babies were born in the capital of Ukraine. Among them, 20 girls and 15 boys. This figure was slightly lower compared to the previous year: on the first day of 2024, 51 babies were born in Kyiv.

“On January 1, 2025, 35 children were born in Kyiv, of which 15 were boys and 20 were girls,” said Vyshnevska.

On January 1, 2024, 51 babies were born in Kyiv, with more girls than boys.

Sociologist and head of the M. V. Ptukha Institute of Demography and Social Research Ella Libanova reported that Ukraine is experiencing a demographic crisis, but its cause is not only the war.
