In the capital of Ukraine, a 41-year-old woman driving a Tesla Model 3 electric car caused a fatal traffic accident that killed two people. As reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level of 1.84.
"A 41-year-old woman was informed of the suspicion of committing a road accident while intoxicated, which caused the death of two passengers (Part 4 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutor's office reported.
The accident, as indicated, occurred on the night of December 28, 2024.
"It was established that the driver of the Tesla Model 3 car, moving along Vasyl Lypkivskyi Street, turning left, failed to control the car, as a result of which it was carried onto the sidewalk, where the car collided with a fence and overturned onto the roof," the prosecutor's office said. .
As a result of the collision, the 40-year-old passenger and the 41-year-old female passenger of the car reportedly died on the spot from their injuries
"The Drager device recorded 1.84 ppm of alcohol in the driver's car," the message reads.
Currently, as noted, the woman has been notified of the suspicion and the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved.
