Before the Epiphany, the city authorities of Kyiv announced 11 official places for traditional bathing. These locations have been prepared taking into account the requirements of safety and sanitary standards. Rescuers and medics will be on duty there during the celebrations.
For the safety of citizens in Kyiv on January 6, according to reports, rescuers and medical support will be organized at the following locations:
- Lake Verbne;
- Obolonsky Island;
- beaches "Dytyachiy", "Venice", "Central", "Telbin", "Troyeshchyna", "Rayduga", "Pushka-Vodytsia", "Natalka", "Galerniy", "Veselka".
KP "Pleso" emphasizes that the capital's beaches and reservoirs are regularly checked for compliance with sanitary standards. In order to minimize the risk of injury, the company's divers examined the bottom of the reservoirs at all locations.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine advises to follow the safe practice of diving in cold water, in particular, to dive only in specially designated places.
