In Kiev, law enforcement officers detained the suspect in the murder of a 38-year-old man whose body was discovered on tram tracks in the Podilskyi district. The attacker probably killed the victim against the background of jealousy and the conflict that arose between him, his cohabitant and the victim.
The incident happened on February 28, when at about 1:00 pm police received a report of the found body with signs of violent death near the tram station "Pushcha-Voditskaya 1". Law enforcement officers detained a suspect, a 59-year-old man, at the crime scene.
As it turned out during the investigation, the detained witnessed the conflict between his cohabitant and the victim. Outraged by the situation and under the influence of jealousy, he decided to strike a familiar deadly stroke with a knife in his chest. The victim died at the scene.
The case is qualified as a premeditated murder, and the detainee has already been suspected. The issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is currently being resolved. The attacker is threatened with a punishment of up to 15 years in prison.
