The State Bureau of Investigation reported the suspicion of a law enforcement officer and his civilian accomplice who illegally sold restricted information. The data obtained from the MVA bases were used to prepare the ordered murder of the expirer of the Minister of Health.
According to the Law and Business, with reference to the DBR press service, it is a case that happened in October 2024. Then a woman who came with severe injuries after an accident died in one of the capital's hospitals. On the day of her death, an anesthesiologist, a doctor who at that time held the position of the First Deputy Minister of Health, was on duty.
Despite the serious condition of the victim, her relatives were convinced that the tragedy was to blame the doctor, and decided to take revenge - until the physical violence. To realize the criminal plan, they began to collect personal information about the physician.
Law enforcement officers found that the place of residence of the doctor and his family was informed by the malefactors, who, in turn, received this information from a familiar law enforcement officer. It was the police officer who had access to closed information systems, from which information was removed.
Due to the timely actions of investigative, the preparation of the murder was stopped before its implementation. However, the fact of unauthorized use of service bases was the subject of a separate investigation.
Both involved - law enforcement officer and civilian - were informed of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 361-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal sale of restricted information). The sanction of the article provides for up to 2 years in prison.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure is currently being resolved.
