Mobile operator "Kyivstar" has announced an increase in tariffs for its services, which is coming in the near future. According to the company's application, the cost of services increased by an average of 25%. The main reason for the price increase in "Kyivstar" is a significant increase in energy supply costs.
Mobile operator "Kyivstar" announced an increase in the cost of its tariff plans by an average of 25%.
This was reported by the company's press service in response to a request from the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
Mobile operator "Kyivstar" announced a change in the cost of its services for some subscribers. On average, tariffs will increase by 25%. The increase applies to contract tariff plans and will be implemented in stages until the end of 2024.
Currently, the changes affected tariffs such as "LOVE UA Svitlo Contract 2023", "YOUR Region", "YOUR OPTIMUM", Smart Max, "YOUR Premium" and "YOUR Premium+". At the same time, the company closes a number of outdated tariffs, in particular "VAS Vybrys", Smart, "Kyivstar 4G", "Bezlim", "Kyivstar 4G Extra+ 2018" and "LOVE UA Magnit Kontrakt 2023".
According to "Kyivstar" representatives, the increase in the cost of services is necessary due to a number of factors: the growth of mobile communication consumption, the difficult economic situation in the country and the costs of ensuring uninterrupted operation of the network at the expense of alternative sources of electricity.
"Individual tariff plans have not changed for over a year, and some have remained unchanged since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. The tariffs were last adjusted in April-May 2024," the company said.
Revision of tariffs will allow "Kyivstar" to invest in the modernization of the network, in particular, the development of 4G and the construction of new base stations, as well as to maintain energy stability and uninterrupted communication.
The company did not provide exact forecasts regarding the tariff policy for 2025, noting that "so far there are no specific dates or a list of tariffs that may change."
As a reminder, a pilot project using 5G communication technology will be launched in Ukraine, which will take place in several stages in three cities and will last for two years.
