In the Poltava region, law enforcement officers have stopped the activities of two residents of the city of Lubny who were distributing information about the places of work of military enlistment offices and police officers on the Viber messenger. This was reported by the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation, in the fall of 2024, the women created a community in the messenger, where they published the locations of mobilization events, recording them personally on their phones. The group members included other users who also exchanged information about the movements of employees of the Lubny District CCC and SP, as well as police officers.
These actions were used to evade serving summonses. That is why law enforcement officers qualified the case as obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations in a special period — under Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
One of the women has already been brought to criminal responsibility. The trial of the second is ongoing.
