In Lviv, a midwife was sentenced to beating a colleague with metal tools

The Lychakiv District Court of Lviv issued a sentence to the midwife of the Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital Anna Fedorchak, who beat her colleague while working in the maternity hospital. For deliberate light bodily harm, she was assigned a fine of 850 UAH.

The incident happened on October 9, 2024 around the first night. During the conflict in the maternity ward, Fedorchak struck Valentina's colleague with metal instruments for childbirth. The victim received bruises and hematomas on the face, which was qualified as slight bodily harm.

The defendant denied his guilt, claiming that the incident was fabricated and injuries were sustained as a result of the struggle for instruments. However, the witness confirmed that Fedorchak deliberately struck.

Judge Hryhoriy Zhovnir found the midwife guilty of intentional slight bodily harm and imposed a fine. In addition, Fedorchak must pay the victim 20 thousand hryvnias of moral compensation. The sentence can be appealed.
