Ukraine may face prolonged power outages in July, which may last up to 10 hours per day. This was announced by the head of the Union of Utilities Consumers Oleg Popenko, emphasizing the critical situation that is already being observed now.
"The situation will be more critical in July. If we have almost seven hours of outages now, then we will obviously expect ten hours of outages in July," the expert said.
According to him, as a result of the latest shelling, Ukraine has already lost 9.8 gigawatts of its generation capacity. Previously, the number was called 8 gigawatts.
The situation may improve in September, when two nuclear power units will return to work after repairs, Popenko believes.
