Monaco detained the son of the former President of the Ukrainian Enterprise Motor Sich enterprise Vyacheslav Boguslaev - he is suspected of stealing assets of a strategic state enterprise. The Security Service of Ukraine reported this on May 2.
According to the investigation, the father and son implemented a criminal scheme for the withdrawal of assets: artificially reduced the value of the shares of the state -owned enterprise, bought a controlling stake, and then reprinted it into offshore structures, controlled by the son of Boguslaev.
After that, the assets were sold to foreign companies and profit was legalized due to the acquisition of elite real estate in the European Union.
"We are talking about the damage to the state in particularly large sizes and alienation of objects that are of strategic importance for Ukraine's defense capability," the SBU noted.
Recall that Vyacheslav Boguslaeva-Sr. was detained in 2022. He is accused of collaboration and illegal supply of aviation components to Russia even after a full -scale invasion.
The son of the son is investigated within the limits of a broader case about the systematic withdrawal of strategic defense assets outside Ukraine. The SBU does not exclude that other participants, including abroad, could be involved in the scheme.
