According to the State Statistics Service, the annual inflation rate in Ukraine in April 2025 was 15.1%, which is 0.5 percentage more than in March (14.6%). In the monthly dimension, prices increased by 0.7%, and since the beginning of the year - by 4.3%.
The greatest impact on inflation in April had a food and non -alcoholic beverage segment - a 1.8%increase was recorded in a month. Among the products, the most went up:

Pork and fruits - by 7.9%;

Dairy products and bread - by 2.1%;

Vegetables - 1.5%.
For alcohol and tobacco prices increased by 1.3%, including tobacco products went up by 2.2%.
At the same time, some price decrease was recorded in the transport sector - by 0.3%. This is due to the fall in the cost of fuel and grease by 2.2%. However, vehicles (+0.9%) and rail transport (+0.8%) were more expensive.
Earlier, the National Bank of Ukraine has adjusted its forecast for annual inflation for 2025 - from 8.4% to 8.7%. According to analysts, consumer prices in Ukraine are caused primarily by the increase in the value of food and transport services.
Recall that in March 2025, inflation was 1.5% against 0.8% in February and 1.2% in January, which indicates a tendency to accelerate the increase in consumer prices.
