Pelishenko became known as the captain of the once popular KVK team "Odesa Gentlemen". The humorist was 71 years old. The exact cause of his death has not been revealed.
Pelishenko was considered one of the brightest representatives of the Ukrainian comedy genre. His talent and charisma always attracted the attention of the audience. He was born on July 22, 1953 in the city of Odesa.
Svyatoslav Pelishenko became famous thanks to his participation in the Odesa Gentlemen KVK team, where he played the role of captain. He impressed the audience with his vivacity, sharp mind and ability to get out of non-standard situations.
However, in addition to his comedic talent, Pelishenko was also a recognized expert in the field of physics. He obtained the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and worked in the scientific field for many years.
Svitlana Fabrikant, an Odesa journalist and deputy, former member of the "Odesa Gentlemen" team, wrote about the loss of a friend on her personal Facebook page. She showed archival and relatively recent photos of Pelishenko.
"How much sorrow... The captain left us... Svyatoslav Pelishenko... Glory... A great child... Infinitely talented, infinitely wise, uncompromisingly fair and honest, terribly modest and very much loved by all of us, the entire team. Because it's native!" - began Fabrikant.
The journalist assured that Pelishenko "loved his Odesa very much, dedicated books, poems and even songs to it."
The showman spent only the last 33 years of his life in Russia. That is why the propagandist media now, reporting on the death of a celebrity, call him a "Russian" screenwriter and humorist.
The artist's social networks were inactive - he published almost nothing. Accordingly, no anti-war posts or statements in support of his native Odesa can be found on Pelishenko's page.
It should be noted that Svyatoslav Pelishenko played for KVK for many years and was the captain of the Odesa Gentlemen team. Since 1991, he managed the department of humorous programs on television. He was one of the authors of the programs "Horodok", "Blue Light on Shabalivka", "Saturday Evening", "Song of the Year" and other entertainment programs. In 2007, he became a laureate of the "TEFI" award as a screenwriter of the "Horodok" program.
