13 plots of land and a Tesla were found in Malyuga's possession

Volodymyr Malyuga, the head of the Department of Internal and Personal Security of the State Border Service Administration of Ukraine, has not publicly declared his wealth for a long time, citing the need to ensure his personal security due to the peculiarities of his position.

During the war in Ukraine, Malyuga significantly improved his financial situation, hiding his assets among his relatives. This information is confirmed by the data from the registers analyzed by the editors.

It is important to note that Malyuga joined the State Border Service of Ukraine only in 2023, having previously headed the internal security department of the State Customs Service. His release from customs took place during a scandal related to the illegal export of grain , smuggling of cigarettes and other goods under the guise of humanitarian aid, which caused the resignation of the head of the State Customs Service.

What wealth Malyuga earned as a customs officer and how he got rich will now be investigated by specialized law enforcement agencies.

At the same time, it was possible to establish some of what was "acquired" during the years of the "customs service" by analyzing data from the Registers, both of Malyuga himself and of his closest relatives.

So, in 2023, Malyuga became the owner of two plots of land with a total area of about 3 hectares.

  • dated 05/26/23 of a land plot with an area of 1.962 hectares, cadastral number 4622710200:09:000:0433;
  • dated 05.26.23 of a land plot with an area of 0.9801 ha, cadastral number 4622710200:09:000:0423

He also purchased two more plots of 2 hectares at the height of the war - at the end of 2022 (cadastral numbers 4622710200:09:000:0435 - 1.926 hectares, 4622710200:09:000:0422 - 2 hectares). And another one, with an area of 2 hectares - in 2020: cadastral number 4625884500:08:000:0129.

However, most of the assets, cars and real estate that appeared in Malyuga's family after his "customs" tenure were not registered to him.

In particular, his second wife, Olga Malyuga, became the owner of a Tesla Model 3 (2020) in September 2022 - already during a full-scale war. Also, from the end of 2022, she became a businesswoman, having received the position of director of TEOLARIS LLC, which is engaged in leasing real estate.

In 2023, Malyuga's son from his first marriage, Mykhailo, became the owner of 9 plots of land and a house in Lviv with an area of 253.8 square meters. m. And these assets were registered to him allegedly under the guise of an inheritance. The dubiousness of the legality of the origin of this property is also due to the fact that no other family member (and Mykhailo's brother, in particular) received any inheritance from anyone during this period of time.

In addition, this same official's son also became the owner of a Honda motorcycle in 2023.

In 2023, Kateryna, the ex-wife of a customs official, received a parking space in Lviv as a gift, and in 2022 she became the owner of an apartment - also in Lviv - with a total area of 82.9 square meters.

Separate assets of Malyuga, acquired, in particular, from 2020 to 2022, were registered to the father-in-law, to the wife's sister, and to other even more distant relatives of the official. This is mainly real estate and land.

The rate of accumulation of wealth of the customs officer obviously does not correspond to the size of his official income. Since the salary of employees of the State Security Service, according to the public statements of the former acting head of the Service Vyacheslav Demchenko, amounted to 9 to 17 thousand hryvnias.

It should be noted that the SBU recently detained Malyuga's subordinate (the head of the internal security group of the department of internal and personal security Yu. A. Neprelyuk) for organizing the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine. And it was claimed that "according to operative materials, Malyuga actually coordinated the work of the "crossing channels" of evaders abroad in various border regions of Ukraine"

It will be recalled that earlier, because of the wealth recorded in the name of a relative - his own brother - the former deputy head of the OP Andriy Smirnov received suspicion from NABU. On the charge of illegal enrichment, he has already been given a 10 million dollar bail.
