In the “people of the people” do not plan to change Shmigal by the fall

The leadership of the "Servant of the People" faction stated that they do not currently discuss the possibility of release of Prime Minister Denis Shmigal. This was reported by the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy Alexander Merezhko and the deputy chairman of the faction Galina Yanchenko in a comment to the NV.

According to network, the issue of changing the head of government is not considered at least in the fall. He stressed that Shmigal remains a cautious and weighted technocrats, which "is quite good in the difficult conditions of war."

"During the summer, changes in the entire government are unlikely. But in the fall, this issue may return again. The government may change if the public's trust falls," Neszhko said.

Galina Yanchenko, for her part, expressed her personal support to the current prime minister and stated that she did not see the best candidate for this position. She stressed that the resignation is not the subject of discussion in the faction.

Among the reasons for the preservation of the current Cabinet of Ministers, deputies are the risks related to martial law, as well as the intensification of hostilities by the Russian Federation. According to net, the change of government during the potential summer offensive of the Russians is inappropriate.

He also noted that talking about the possible resignation of the government may be part of the internal political struggle, because in the context of martial law, elections cannot be held.
