People's Deputy from the Servant of the People faction Fedir Venislavsky announced the parliament's intention to resolve the issue of mobilization of military conscripts who have not yet turned 25. This became relevant after the abolition of the status of "limitedly fit", which created a conflict in the definition of mandatory military service.
He explained that after the abolition of the status of "limitedly fit", a conflict arose when former "limitedly fit" under the age of 25, who became "fit", are mobilized, while healthy conscripts of the same age have a deferment until 25 years.
“There is an understanding of a certain social injustice when citizens under the age of 25, fully fit for military service, cannot be mobilized, while those who, for various reasons, were recognized as limitedly fit during wartime, after the abolition of limited fitness, are recognized as fit at the Military Commissariat and can be mobilized,” said Venislavsky.
