In the case of torture prisoners in the Poltava pre -trial detention center new persons appeared

Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation have reported suspicion to two more employees of the institution - the senior in the corps and the junior inspector of the regime and protection department. They are charged with torture, which qualifies under Part 3 of Art. 127 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

According to the DBR, these two officials joined the torture, during which one of the prisoners was tied to the bed for more than one and a half days. He was not given food, water and was not allowed to use the toilet. This incident has become part of a large -scale investigation into the facts of systematic cruelty in the institution.

We will remind, earlier for the same episode it was reported suspicion for two more employees - the next and other senior corps. It was, according to the investigation, who took the victim into the premises and recorded it on the bed, depriving elementary human needs.

Both new suspect was amazed to elect a pre -trial detention.

This case has caused considerable public resonance. DBR emphasizes that the practice of torture in closed -type institutions is a gross violation of human rights and will not remain unpunished.
