As part of the investigation into the case of Roman Hrynkevich, which concerns the supply of substandard military uniforms for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is preparing to hand over suspicions to several officials of the Ministry of Defense.
This was announced by the prosecutor in the hall of one of the court sessions regarding the review of the suspect's preventive measure. The prosecution did not announce the names and number of those involved in the MOU.
But it was clear that it was not about one person, but about a group of people who probably acted as an organized group within the ministry itself. At the same time, it is known that for more than 7 months in the so-called "Grynkevich case" there were no other participants, except for Grynkevich himself and representatives of the MOU suppliers.
From the very beginning, there were talks that the implementation of such equipment worth billions of hryvnias was impossible without agreement with the leadership of the Ministry.
After all, if the Hrynkevichs were selling low-quality uniforms, then someone in the Ministry of Defense should have turned a blind eye to it and paid for it. The DBR, in turn, claims losses of at least a billion hryvnias.
Earlier it became known that MOU tried to recognize itself as the injured party in the proceedings against Hrynkevich. However, it is not known for sure whether this happened until now and when exactly.
On February 22, the SBI informed that the victims in the "Grynkevich case" were missing. Subsequently, on March 14, the SBI indicated that the MOU allegedly received the status of the injured party on January 17. But under such circumstances, it is not known why the Bureau claimed the opposite in February.
The supply of uniforms by Roman Hrynkevich's company for the order of the Ministry of Defense took place both before and after the appointment of Rustem Umyerov as minister. In addition, his new team concluded contracts with other companies affiliated to the Hrynkevich family to meet the needs of the army.
