In the Ternopil region, TCC employees kidnapped and beat men, demanding bribes

The National Police of Ukraine is investigating a high-profile case related to the activities of one of the territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCC) in the Ternopil region.

Employees of one of the TCC kidnapped and beat men, demanding bribes from them to evade mobilization.

The scheme was organized by the head of the Military Commissariat. He involved three subordinates and one ex-military man. OZU members extorted 100,000-150,000 dollars from citizens per month.

Money was demanded even from those who were not legally entitled to it. As an example, they gave the story of a man who is the father of four children.

They broke into his house at night and started beating him, and then took him away in an unknown direction. He was released only after his relatives paid UAH 30,000 for him.
