A proposal was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada regarding the need for radical reform of the Territorial Centers of Recruitment and Social Support (TCC). In addition, the parliamentarians are working on a draft law that concerns the demobilization of the military, which has been defending Ukraine at the front for the third year.
People's deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko emphasized during his statement that although discussions about these initiatives are actively underway, approval of such documents is not expected in the near future. According to him, First Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Gavrylyuk agreed with the need to reform the TCC, and currently the Ministry of Defense is preparing the corresponding changes.
Honcharenko emphasized that some actions that took place in the TCC are unacceptable. He recalled a case in Vyshgorod, when a car driver was subjected to aggressive actions by representatives of the TCC. According to the people's deputy, such situations should be excluded, and the system should be reformed. Ivan Havryliuk noted that the Ministry of Defense is working on changes to avoid similar incidents in the future.
Regarding demobilization, Honcharenko also shared information that the draft law regulating the issue of terms of service and demobilization already exists in a certain form. However, he noted that this document will not be tabled until there are sufficient reserves to replace the demobilized military. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal did not give a clear answer to the question about the readiness of the draft law, but emphasized that it is at the stage of preparation.
