"The Politico article talked about missile strikes on Kharkiv. This city is now becoming the main target of strikes for Russia. But no words about the attack on Kharkiv were heard from the head of the OP", said Yermak's press secretary Daria Zarivna.
As a reminder, the newspaper published the following quote on behalf of the head of the OP the day before yesterday:
"He (Yermak - Ed.) considers the northeastern city of Kharkiv, the second largest in Ukraine, as the most likely target for the main strike. Kharkiv was subjected to particularly brutal shelling, and large-scale Russian attacks led to the destruction of its power plants."
The publication made the same thesis at the very beginning of the interview with Yermak:
"An influential Zelenskyi administration official tells Politico that Republicans need to step up their action because Russia is likely to deliver a major blow to Kharkiv in May or June."
For now, those quotes in the Politico article remain as they were.
Such comments on behalf of Yermak caused a conflicting impression in Ukraine. Since recently, other representatives of the authorities actively denied the plans of the Russian Federation to attack Kharkiv.
