The State Bureau of Investigation has completed a pre -trial investigation into a law enforcement officer from Zaporozhye, who is accused of premeditated murder of a colleague. The indictment was transferred to court. On July 5, the DBR press service reported.
According to the investigation, both men worked in Pologovsky district earlier, but because of the full -scale invasion of Russia moved to Zaporozhye, where they continued their service in one of the law enforcement agencies. They rented the apartment together.
The tragedy happened on February 16, 2025. There was a conflict between colleagues, during which one of them shot the other of the reporting firearms. After that, the attacker tried to hide the crime.
The law enforcement officer initially planned to issue a murder for suicide. He took the phone of the deceased to give the impression that he had left the apartment and moved the city. Subsequently, he carefully removed the premises, tried to destroy the traces of the crime using professional skills, and the body wrapped in the carpet.
However, it was not possible to realize the idea. Investigators of the DBR conducted a number of examinations and interrogations, in particular with the use of polygraph. The evidence collected finally refuted the version of suicide.
The suspect was declared a prosecution under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - premeditated murder. He faces up to 15 years in prison. He has now been released from law enforcement.
