On Tuesday, June 11, there was an attack on Zaporizhzhia city council official Maksym Denshchyk, who was temporarily removed from the position of director of the legal support department. Information about this was spread by several Telegram channels.
The attacker opened fire on the official at least four times, all bullets hitting him in the stomach. The victim was brought to intensive care, his life was in danger, doctors fought for his life, but he died from his injuries. According to local Telegram channels, the attack happened when a man was taking out garbage near his house.
Maksym Denshchik held the position of director of the Department of Legal Support of the Zaporizhzhia City Council, but now he has been temporarily suspended from his duties, and an official investigation is being conducted. This was reported by Yevhen Kovalenko, the head of the Department of Internal Policy, Press and Information of Zaporizhzhya City Council.
Maksym Denshchyk himself stated that he was removed from his post on the basis of an anonymous letter, although he had previously been accused of exceeding his powers. He also claims that he was pressured by the head of Zaporizhzhia OVA, Ivan Fedorov, who tried to force him to resign from his post.
