Successful organ transplantation from two dead donors was carried out at the Zaporozhye Regional Clinical Hospital

In Zaporozhye, despite the difficult situation in the frontline, medical workers of the regional clinical hospital continue to provide highly qualified assistance to patients. In February this year, doctors managed to conduct a series of successful organ transplants, saving the lives of patients, including residents of Kyiv, Lviv and Zaporozhye. This became possible two posthumous donors whose authorities were transplanted to those who needed urgent assistance.

In frontline Zaporozhye continue to save life by the method of transplantation. Due to the consent of the families of two dead donors, doctors managed to transplant the organs of seven patients from different regions of Ukraine. Organs were collected at the Zaporizhzhya Regional Clinical Hospital. The Unified State Transplantation Information System (Edist) has identified the immuno -containing recipients that the donor bodies were transplanted

In Zaporizhzhya kidney received three patients, one of whom was a 61-year-old woman, for whom it was a re-transplant. Another kidney, a 55-year-old man with the first status of emergency, was transplanted by the team of the first medical association of Lviv.

In the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital # 1, thanks to liver transplantation, two patients were rescued, including a 25-year-old guy with severe cirrhosis. The next day he was transferred from intensive care to the department.

The department reported that transporting a heart from Zaporozhye to Kiev for a long time, and raising a helicopter in the frontline was dangerous. Then the cardiac surgeons of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health together with the patient went to Zaporozhye. Rehabilitation is ahead of the girl, but she is already preparing for discharge.

It is noted that the condition of all patients is satisfactory, corresponds to the complexity of the operations.

The Zaporizhzhya Regional Clinical Hospital remains the only medical institution in the east and south of the country where organ transplantation is carried out.

Since the beginning of 2024, 11 kidney transplants have been performed here, and the multi -organized organ sampling was completed for the fifth time, added to the Ministry of Health.
