More than 60 cruise missiles and more than 10 Daggers that attacked Kyiv were destroyed
According to the head of the KMVA, Serhiy Popko, the air alert lasted for almost 6 hours in total. First, the enemy launched about a dozen and a half “Shahedi” at the capital of Ukraine. And after them, more than a dozen and a half Tu-95MS strategic bombers took off, which launched Kh-101/Kh555Kh-55 cruise missiles in groups and waves.
Simultaneously with the approach of the missiles to Kyiv, more than ten MiG-31K aircraft launched Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles over the capital.
“Air defense forces and means hit all the Shahed UAVs and more than 6 dozen Kh-101/Kh555Kh-55 missiles and a dozen Kh-47M2 Kinzhal (the final type and number will be given by the Air Force),” Popko wrote.
As a result of such a massive rocket attack in the capital, there is destruction of residential buildings, damage to infrastructure. There are victims. The consequences are especially terrible in the Solomyanskyi district, where fires were recorded in multi-storey residential buildings. The fire blocked people on the floors. The State Emergency Service carried out unblocking and evacuation of people.
In particular, as a result of the massive attack in Kyiv, six districts were affected, where 7 fires occurred, namely in Obolonsky, Pechersky, Podilsky, Solomyansky, Svyatoshynsky, and Desnyansky.
Thus, the Russians shelled a high-rise building in the Solomyansky district. More than 130 people were evacuated there. About 20 were rescued by emergency workers from the blocked premises.
In total, more than 20 injured people were recorded in the capital.
Consequences of the missile attack on other areas:
- in Desnyansky district there is a preliminary report of a supermarket fire;
- non-residential premises were damaged in the Darnytskyi district;
- in the Holosiivskyi district, the fall of remains in an open area;
- in the Pechersk district – on the roof of a 9-story residential building; on another multi-story building and a private house;
- in the Obolon district there is a fire in a residential building, the remains of which fall onto the territory of non-residential buildings and warehouses:
- in Svyatoshynskyi district – for non-residential development;
- in Podilskyi district there is a fire in the market area; a gas pipe and water supply mains were damaged and approximately 6 cars caught fire; and the remains fell on non-residential buildings. A fire in a residential building is also possible.
- Shevchenkivskyi district – debris falling into an open area.
Kyiv region
In the Kyiv region, the Boryspil, Buchan, and Fastiv districts were affected.
In particular, a fire in a residential building was extinguished in Fastivske. Two people died.
In addition, 5 apartment buildings and more than 40 cars were damaged in Vyshneve. 7 people were injured.
Kharkiv
Arrivals in Kharkiv fell on the city center. At least four strikes are known in the Shevchenkivskyi district. One person was killed. 41 were injured. Much damage to civilian infrastructure.
The number of victims in Kharkiv has increased to 44.
As a result of enemy missile strikes on the center of Kharkiv, a 91-year-old woman died. There are also 44 injured people. Among them are 5 children: 3 boys, 9 years old; girls, 6 and 13 years old. The injured children have blast injuries, bruises, acubarotrauma, and acute stress reactions.
Also injured were 24 women aged 19 to 84 and 15 men aged 24 to 60.
Currently, 28 patients are in hospitals, including 3 children. Doctors assess their condition as moderate.
