During 2024, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation actively investigated cases of illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine. This problem, which has gained special relevance in the conditions of martial law, has become one of the priority directions of the department's work.

Statistics of criminal proceedings show that illegal schemes for transporting people across the state border are created mainly by officials, employees of the TCC, MSEK, doctors and law enforcement officers.
Most often, criminals use the mechanism of removal from military registration due to fake diagnoses of unfitness for military service.
At the same time, realizing that traditional schemes are effectively breaking down, some officials responsible for mobilization are trying
to come up with new mechanisms for transporting evaders across the border. The employees of the State Bureau of Investigation began to identify cases where they tried to make money from conscripts right at the checkpoints. Personal escort services to the border, fake marriages, etc. appeared.
During the investigation of such criminal proceedings, only the amount of documented bribes amounted to 11 million 400 thousand. UAH But, the SBI is convinced, in reality, the amounts of illegal benefits are much larger and will be precisely established during the investigation.
Very often, citizens become victims of banal fraud, during which significant sums of money are simply taken from them under the guise of assistance in shipping.
The courts seized the property of the defendants for a total amount of almost 11 million hryvnias.
In total, this year, the courts have already passed 11 guilty verdicts against 14 people, which have already entered into force.
