Ukrainians abroad must return to Ukraine by June 16

According to the new rules, many Ukrainian men who are currently abroad must return to Ukraine by June 16. The Cabinet of Ministers published Resolution No. 563 of May 16, 2024, which amended the Procedure for organizing and maintaining military records of conscripts, conscripts and reservists.

According to this document, Ukrainian citizens who stay abroad for more than three months are subject to these new norms. They must return to Ukraine within 30 days and renew their registration at the territorial collection centers by the specified date.

The resolution also states that Ukrainians who are abroad have the same obligations to the state as those who remain in Ukraine. Therefore, they must also be registered in territorial picking centers.

Those who plan to go abroad in the future will no longer be removed from the military register.

The consulates will help conscripted Ukrainians to return to their homeland, and will also inform on behalf of territorial recruitment centers of conscripts aged 18 to 25 who are on consular records.
