During the recent negotiations between Ukraine and Hungary, the parties failed to reach an agreement on signing a bilateral agreement. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky explained that the reason was the clause in the document supporting Ukraine's accession to NATO. This issue is of fundamental importance for Kyiv against the backdrop of the ongoing war with Russia and the need to ensure long-term security.
"For us, Ukraine's support for the EU, Hungary's support for Ukraine for NATO are important. The document currently does not include Hungary's support for Ukraine for NATO. Since this is not the case, this document has not been signed. That's the end of it," the president said at a press conference.
