On November 20, 2024, the US Embassy in Kyiv issued a warning of a possible large-scale missile or air strike on Ukraine. This message caused concern among citizens and also became a topic for comments from representatives of the Ukrainian authorities.
In turn, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) confirmed the possibility of such shelling, emphasizing that Ukraine is ready for any threats from Russia.
"Let us recall that the Russians have been stockpiling missiles for a series of attacks on Ukraine for months. This includes the Kh-101 missiles, which they continue to produce, as well as the Calibers and ballistics.
Russia has aircraft and missile stocks at strategic aviation airfields and warehouses ready for strikes. This has already been reported previously.
Accordingly, this needs to be understood and always remembered, structures need to think through security measures, and people need to respond to alarms," said Kovalenko, the speaker of the "Center for Countering Disinformation" at the National Security and Defense Council.
