In the second round of the group stage of the European Football Championship, the national team of Ukraine impressed its fans and experts with a difficult but well-deserved victory over Slovakia. The game, which took place on one of the football fields in Europe, became a real test of the willpower of Ukrainian football players.
The Slovakians opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Ivan Shrants scored a header at the far post into the goal of the Ukrainians.
By the end of the first half, the Ukrainians created several dangerous moments, but none of them ended in a goal. In the second half, at the 54th minute, Ukraine managed to launch a successful attack. Oleksandr Zinchenko passed from the left wing to Mykola Shaparenka, who confidently sent the ball into the net of the opponent's goal.
In the 80th minute, striker Roman Yaremchuk, who came on as a substitute, led the Ukrainian national team forward, scoring the decisive goal in the match against the Slovaks.
