In the second round of the group stage of the European Football Championship, the Ukrainian national team impressed its fans and experts with a difficult but well-deserved victory over the Slovak team. The game, which took place on one of the football fields in Europe, became a real test of the willpower of Ukrainian football players.
The Slovaks opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Ivan Shrantz headed the ball into the Ukrainian goal from the far post.
By the end of the first half, the Ukrainians had created several dangerous chances, but none of them resulted in a goal. In the second half, in the 54th minute, Ukraine managed to mount a successful attack. Oleksandr Zinchenko passed from the left flank to Mykola Shaparenko, who confidently sent the ball into the opponent's net.
In the 80th minute, substitute striker Roman Yaremchuk put Ukraine ahead by scoring the decisive goal in the match against the Slovaks.
