Ukraine has caught up with Russia in the production of attack drones and significantly increased the production of artillery shells

Active support and reforms in the Ukrainian defense industry lead to a significant increase in the production of ammunition and weapons, reducing the pressure of the Russian occupation forces.

General Director of the concern "Ukrainian Defense Industry" Herman Smetanin said that the reforms in the state company "Ukroboronprom" attracted a large amount of investments. This made it possible to significantly increase the production of ammunition and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

According to him, more than 54,000 workers work at the enterprises of the "Ukrainian Defense Industry" that work day and night. During the year, they significantly increased the production of the main types of projectiles and mines, including according to NATO standards. Some production indicators increased 10 times.

It is also noted that in 2024, Ukraine caught up with Russia in the production of attack drones, and also began the development and production of its own unique models.

"Everything that explodes in Russia is ours," said Oleksandr Kamyshyn, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.

At the moment, Herman Smetanin plans to further increase the production of ammunition in order to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the necessary resources. This is facilitated by Western investments.
