The Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively forming several new brigades, but due to delays in the supply of military equipment from Western partners, serious problems arise with equipping these units. This was reported by analysts of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) from the USA.
According to them, Ukraine continues to contend with the temporary challenges of forming new military units, but shortages and delays in the supply of Western weapons and equipment may hamper its ability to fully equip these brigades. According to analysts, timely security support from the West remains critically important, determining the moment and scale of readiness of Ukrainian forces for future military operations.
Previously, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the improvement in the situation of the Ukrainian troops, but emphasized that the success of future counteroffensive operations depends on the proper equipment of combat units with heavy combat vehicles, armored personnel carriers, tanks and artillery.
According to ISW analysts, prompt and regular provision of the necessary equipment and weapons from Western partners is critical to reducing Ukraine's vulnerability to possible Russian aggressive actions and helps Ukrainian forces to focus on future defense operations.
