UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine, together with partners, has launched a hotline to support sexual and reproductive health, where consultations are conducted by leading medical specialists in this field.
By calling 3033 (calls are free from all mobile and landline phones), you can get answers to questions about sexual and reproductive health, find out which doctor to contact in specific situations, and get contacts of professionals in this field. The services can be used by anyone who needs help with sexual and reproductive health issues, including internally displaced persons, pregnant women, and medical professionals of various specializations for consultations with colleagues on certain narrowly focused issues.
All consultations are free, anonymous and confidential. The hotline is open daily from 09:00 to 18:00, and you do not need to make an appointment to speak with specialists.
Mobile gynecological teams, introduced by the UNFPA initiative in remote regions of Ukraine, are also available at 3033. Currently, these teams provide free and confidential services in 23 regions of Ukraine, such as a gynecological examination, ultrasound examination, electrocardiogram, rapid tests for blood sugar, hepatitis, syphilis and HIV, as well as consultations on women's health and HIV infections.
According to statistics, the hotline 3033, launched during martial law, is particularly relevant. Since its launch, 45% of calls have been about the work of mobile teams, 12% of people were interested in general consultations on sexual and reproductive health, and 43% called to obtain information about places to receive obstetric and gynecological care. Yulia Davydova, an expert on the hotline 3033, notes that 30-40% of calls come from women with disabilities who need consultations on sexual and reproductive health, given their limited mobility when moving.
