In a short period of time, Ukraine has managed to develop and launch into mass production its own long-range strike drones. This was stated in an interview by Ukroboronprom General Director Herman Smetanin.
According to him, these drones are currently hitting strategic enemy targets at a distance of over 1,000 km.
Smetanin also recalled that Ukraine has already successfully launched mass production of FPV drones.
"A significant contribution was made by our enterprises, which established close cooperation with private companies and helped them scale production," he noted.
He emphasized that the enemy should not be underestimated, especially one as powerful as Russia.
"We have become more nonlinear and innovative. Russia has huge resources and a powerful industry, so there is no point in blindly copying its approach. We are forced to be flexible and inventive. Like David, who realized that fighting Goliath with his own methods was a wrong idea, we have chosen a weapon that can bring victory, and we are skillfully applying it," Smetanin added.
