Ukraine has made changes to the procedure for providing temporary housing to internally displaced persons, the press service of the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories reported. In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted new provisions, which include:
- Expanding the list of priority criteria for providing temporary housing for internally displaced persons. It now includes families of military personnel from internally displaced persons, persons who have been re-displaced due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, and internally displaced persons among the residents of the relevant territorial association that provides housing from the fund that suffered from destruction.
- Expanding the possibility of financing the housing fund for temporary residence of internally displaced persons by the IMCs of territories from which they have been displaced, outside their jurisdiction. This will allow the IMCs to participate in the distribution of housing in communities hosting internally displaced persons.
The Ministry of Reintegration emphasized that such a decision will contribute to the effective registration and provision of temporary housing for internally displaced persons.
