From January to October 2024, Ukraine imported more than 50,000 passenger electric cars, which indicates a rapid increase in the popularity of environmentally friendly transport in the country. The total customs value of these cars amounted to almost 1.1 billion dollars. This is reported by the association "UkrAvtoprom" with reference to the data of the State Statistics Service.
It is noted that of this number, 13,684 cars were new, and another 36,541 were used. Importers spent 368 million dollars on the purchase of new electric cars. At the same time, the customs value of used electric cars was 730 million dollars.

- Japan - 526 cars.
- Germany – 362 cars.
- Great Britain - 269 cars.
- Belgium – 216 cars.

In November, Ukrainians bought 4.5 thousand used passenger cars up to 5 years old imported from abroad. Then, for the first time, the largest share in this segment was covered by electric cars - 44%. They were immediately followed by gasoline cars - 35%.
Last month, Ukrainians also purchased more than 800 cars imported from China. It is noted that this is 37% less compared to last November.
