Ukraine is actively negotiating to hold a meeting in the Rammstein format with the participation of state leaders, including US President Joe Biden. People's deputy Yehor Chernev, deputy chairman of the parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, said this on the air of the national telethon.
"I know that negotiations are underway so that Rammstein will still take place at the highest level of the leaders of the states. But to a greater extent, it depends on the position of the White House, whether Biden is ready or able to come to Europe before the end of his term, before the end of the year. Negotiations are underway," Chernev said.
He noted that now "Ramstein" performs functions of more coordination of efforts and between meetings there is still 24/7 coordination between states.
The meeting of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine in the Rammstein format, which was scheduled for October 12 in Germany and was supposed to take place with the participation of US President Joe Biden, but was postponed due to a hurricane in the USA.
