The Ukrainian state's partners have taken a step towards allowing the use of their weapons on the territory of Russia. However, Ukraine will continue to work on expanding this zone. This was announced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba during a joint briefing with Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna in Kyiv.
Kuleba stressed that this step is important and long-awaited, but Ukraine will work to further expand this opportunity. According to him, recent years show that small steps develop into larger solutions, so Ukraine remains active on this path.
Tsakhkna emphasized that from the first days, Estonia did not impose restrictions on Ukraine regarding the use of weapons, since the country has the right to self-defense under international law.
Recall that on May 31, US President Joe Biden allowed Ukraine to use American weapons on Russian territory to defend Kharkiv. Official confirmation of this was provided by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
