Ukrainian company Kvertus, which specializes in the production of electronic intelligence (ERI) and electronic warfare (EW) systems, has begun implementing the ambitious Atlas project. Its main goal is to create a large-scale system of protection against drones along the front line, which is more than 1,300 kilometers long.
According to Defence Express, Atlas will be an intelligent system that combines electronic reconnaissance, jamming of enemy drones and the ability to synchronize with its own UAVs. One of the main advantages of the system is its remote control - the operator will be able to control all processes via a secure server, which significantly reduces the risks for the Ukrainian military.
Advantages of the Atlas system
According to Kvertus, the main features of the new system are:
- Significant range, exceeding the capabilities of modern analogues.
- Effective suppression of enemy drones, invisible to enemy electronic intelligence.
- Long autonomous operation, which increases its effectiveness on the battlefield.
- The absence of Chinese and other foreign technologies, which guarantees reliability and independence from external suppliers.
- Protection against spoils - even if an enemy obtains the system, they will not be able to use it or reveal its technologies.
One Atlas system is capable of providing 25-50 km of increased security on the front line.
The project is being implemented with the support of the Brave1 defense cluster, and its cost is estimated at 5.2 billion hryvnias.
