According to a Pentagon spokesman, the package will include $300 million worth of weapons.
The White House is expected to announce Tuesday that it will send Ukraine a new $300 million arms package that will include a number of Army tactical missile systems, according to U.S. officials familiar with the discussions.
The package will include several anti-personnel/anti-materiel missiles, or APAMs, an older version of the long-range ATACMS that has a range of 100 miles and carries warheads containing hundreds of cluster bombs, according to one of the officials. All were granted anonymity to speak ahead of the announcement.
