Ukraine is increasing missile production

Ukraine has seen a significant increase in missile production in 2024. According to official information, the number of missiles manufactured exceeded 100 units, which suggests that the production rate reached approximately 10 units per month. A particularly significant increase in production was observed in the second half of the year, when the number of missiles manufactured increased to 15-20 units per month.

These data were published by Defense Express, which noted that at the beginning of 2024, missile production was limited, but by the fall the pace had increased significantly. Although the level of production in Ukraine cannot yet match the capabilities of Russia, such a pace is an important step in the development of the country's defense industry. In particular, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are receiving the latest missiles, among which, probably, there are modernized versions of the Neptune cruise missile in a ground-based version.

This progress is part of a broader defense industry development strategy, within which more than 800 Ukrainian companies are working to create and improve weapons for the Defense Forces. Importantly, most of these companies actively cooperate with state structures, and weapons production is one of the priority areas in wartime.

Although missile production has not yet reached the level of Russia, which produces up to 90 missiles per month, including 20 ballistic ones, such steps are important for strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities. Oleksandr Musienko, a military expert, notes that in the context of the current war, increasing missile production is a strategically important factor for maintaining the stability of the defense industry and ensuring the needs of the Armed Forces.
