Ukraine mobilizes 30,000 to 34,000 people each month, but Russia is deploying approximately 10,000 more troops over the same period, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
According to the head of state, the Ukrainian military command is currently using the maximum possible mobilization resource in the conditions of a full-scale war. At the same time, unit commanders are constantly requesting additional personnel, primarily for full rotation of military personnel at the front.
The President emphasized that the problem of military personnel attrition remains one of the key ones. Prolonged stay on the front line without replacement directly affects the morale of soldiers and the overall level of combat readiness of units.
Zelensky stressed that the military leadership faces a difficult task - to balance the available human resources with the operational needs of the front. According to him, work is underway to ensure that each brigade receives the necessary reinforcements.
Separately, the president drew attention to the changing nature of combat operations. The role of drones and long-range attack systems has significantly increased on the battlefield, which further increases the need for personnel, technical specialists, and resources.
In such conditions, the issues of mobilization, replenishment of units, and regular rotation of military personnel remain a constant priority for the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
