Volodymyr Zelenskyy repeated his prediction that Russia plans to mobilize 300,000 troops by June 1 and then launch an offensive at the front.
“Ukraine is preparing for this. We are waiting for appropriate weapons,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The president also followed the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Syrsky, and stated that Russia wants to capture Chasiv-Yar by May 9.
It should be noted that the Russian Federation denies plans to announce mobilization in the coming months (at least by mid-July - until the end of conscription). There are also doubts about the Kremlin's intentions to announce mobilization in NATO.
The Russian Federation has also not announced any intentions to take Chasiv Yar by May 9. Judging by the current pace of Russian advance, this is unlikely, unless the Ukrainian Armed Forces themselves leave the city, which is unlikely to happen, since Chasiv Yar is the center of Ukrainian defense in the north of the Donetsk region.
