From January 1, 2026, the National Program "Health Screening 40+" will officially launch in Ukraine, which aims to early detect cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental health problems among citizens aged 40 and over.
According to the Ministry of Health, at the end of January 2026, individuals who have reached the age of 40 will receive the first notifications-invitations to participate in the program. The notification will be sent via the "Diya" application on the 30th day after their birthday.
After confirming participation in the program, 2,000 hryvnias are credited to the Diya.Card within seven days. These funds can only be spent on screening services. For citizens who do not use the Diya application, there is an opportunity to issue a bank card and submit an application through the Administrative Services Center.
Health screening 40+ includes:
-
questionnaire and assessment of individual risks of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and mental health status;
-
physical examination: blood pressure measurement, assessment of heart rate and rhythm, anthropometry;
-
laboratory tests to assess the functioning of the heart, blood vessels and kidneys;
-
individual recommendations from the doctor regarding lifestyle, prescription of medications or referral for additional examinations if necessary.
The Ministry of Health emphasizes that timely participation in the program helps prevent serious diseases and monitor health status in the early stages.
