A remote military medical commission is being launched in Ukraine

A pilot project of a remote military medical commission (VLC) has been launched in Ukraine. It concerns military and law enforcement officers who are being treated abroad for more than 12 months. This was reported by lawyer Roman Likhachev on Ukrainian Radio.

According to him, the documents for passing the VLK will be submitted by the commander of the military unit. All certificates must be translated into Ukrainian, after which the commission will consider them within 10 days. The decision is sent to the military unit, and a re-examination after the serviceman returns is no longer required.

At the same time, there is currently a problem with who exactly should pay for the translation of a large volume of medical documents. " I have not yet seen a clearly established procedure. The question of how exactly and at whose expense to translate the documents remains open ," the lawyer noted.

Likhachev explained that the new procedure primarily concerns cases of serious illnesses and injuries. These include oncology, eye damage, head, spine, nervous system, internal organs and limbs injuries, as well as serious burns. Under such conditions, it is practically impossible to bring a person to Ukraine to undergo a commission.

Separately, the lawyer reminded that even without returning to Ukraine, a serviceman has the right to appeal the decision of the VLK. This can be done remotely - first in the regional commission, then in the central one. In case of disagreement, you can go to court.

" I recommend first going through the regional and central VLK, and only then, if necessary, filing a lawsuit ," Likhachev concluded.
