Lawyer and Ukrainian Armed Forces veteran Masi Nayem said that Ukraine could be on the verge of surrender if it manages to mobilize 160,000 people in the next two months. This statement caused a wide reaction among military experts, politicians and citizens, highlighting a number of problems that Ukraine faces in the conditions of a full-scale armed conflict.
"If 160,000 people don't mobilize within the next two months, we'll sign a surrender. Well, because that's the honest answer. You don't want to go to war, but someone has to," Nayem said.
According to him, the soldiers currently on the front lines are "absolutely burned out.".
"An honest story would be this. Don't you want to (fight – Ed.)? Don't you value what you have now? Just think about what you will lose if the front falls," he added.
It should be noted that the planned mobilization figure of 160,000 was previously announced by the head of the National Security and Defense Council, Lytvynenko. Later, Western media reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine want to recruit this number in three months.
